Overall, it's been a crappy couple years for drawing.
I had artist's block for over half a year, was unable to get to painting classes for one year, and it seemed I just didn't have it in me anymore.The characters I was drawing all had stiff poses, without much action to them. I'm seeing all these awesome artists do kickass work on here, and I look at my stuff, and wonder...

What happened?

I used to draw just about every day. I could do just about anything.

Good news, though. It seems I'm back at painting, albeit very slowly. I'm also starting to draw again. And to think it started with a drawing of the character Ayumi from X-Blades. YES, her. LOL.

I have a couple goals this year:

Get a WACOM tablet, or something comparable. And a newer version of Photoshop. Maybe then the drawings will look better on the computer... Using a mouse and GIMP just doesn't cut it. No choice when Photoshop 4.0 crashes on me every time an image gets too large (1024 x 768 seems to be the limit...LAME!)

I'll also be cleaning out my DA page, possibly making a new account since I have outgrown this name. I'll be putting up more stuff from FFXI, even Guitar Hero characters possibly. If I do make a new account, all the info will be put up on this one. This gallery will most likely be reserved for scraps and works in progress. I'd like a more "finished-looking" gallery, with more stuff that's actually finished.

So I guess that's a fair explanation of why I dropped off for the last year and a half....Not to mention all the crap going on in the economy and the world in general doesn't help to put me in an artsy mood.

Hopefully this time I'll be making a comeback for real.
